Just for Kicks

Photo Contest

Photo Contest

2020 presented a lot of challenges, and students stepped up to do some amazing things under difficult circumstances. Let’s celebrate some of the high points of the year. We’re looking for some inspiring, uplifting, funny or unique snapshots from your training this year.

We’ve already gotten some incredible submissions, including a Zen meditation on a beach, and a elbow strike with a whimsical frog.

Some of your photo submissions.

Don’t forget, your photo can include pets, siblings, parents. You can show us a kick, a punch, or maybe your weapons skills … just make it martial arts related.

We’ll pick the best photos, and then the students, friends and family can vote for their favorites. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!

You can submit your entries:

Trunk or Treat

Trunk or Treat

Halloween Fun, Social Distance Style

Saturday, October 31, 2-4:00 pm

Vote for your favorite trunk or costume online

Join us at the Bluestem Tech Center for holiday fun outdoors. We’ll honor the beloved Halloween tradition of decking out our cars for trick or treaters. Cars will be decorated in the parking lot, with spooky flair, and lots of candy and toys galore.

Don’t be a party pooper … follow these hauntingly safe guidelines:

  • Cars, or Dragula, spaced with one parking space between each one
  • Any candy or toys to hand out must be placed on a table, tombstone, or other surface
  • No treats can be handed out directly — not even from ghosts or specters
  • All candy or toys should be packaged, additional bandages optional
  • Masks are required, so put on your best Halloween face
  • Responsible social distancing to get your ghoul on
  • Good hand hygiene and sanitizer are available

Thanks to our Bluestem Tech Center business partners joining us for the fun.
