Sword Cutting and Cleaning

Join us for a special weapons seminar that focuses on sword cutting techniques and then how to properly clean and maintain your weapon. Each participant will practice safe techniques for sword strikes, have an opportunity to cut their own reed mat, then receive and learn how to use a sword cleaning kit.

All participants are encouraged to bring along a personal sword, properly sheathed. Practice shinai, wooden bokkens and sharpened swords for cutting will be available if participants don’t have these weapons on their own.

Must be 10 or older, and must be red belts or above. Sign up soon, since we are limited to 10 participants.

Board Breaking Workshop in August

Saturday, August 4, 2:00 – 3:30 pm

Practice your board breaking before testing or just have fun breaking stuff. We will practice both hand and foot techniques for breaking, as well as cover the proper way to hold boards for different breaks.

Each attendee will break five boards with five different techniques. $20 per attendee.

Learn Judo basics of mat work, ground escapes, and holds, including how to effectively defend against them, from our very own Mr. Cholas and Mr. Brevik. As always, we will focus on practical self defense applications.

This workshop is open to all belts, white and up, and ages 8 years old and up.

Instructor Training 2018

April 13 – May 11

Basic Assistant Instructor Training Program

For Integrity Martial Arts students with a rank of Red Belt or higher can attend and earn an assistant instructor certificate. There is no charge for the class, but students must commit to the full 5-week program and participate in the training classes and homework assignments, as well as teaching classes.

A final evaluation will be made at General Belt testing on November 14, which all students who are participating in the Assistant Instructor Training Program must attend.

Students who have taken the course before are encouraged to attend, since this is an excellent opportunity to refresh previous training.
